Kissimmee Courtyard Raingarden - Kissimmee, FL
Key elements in the design, such as the ‘Spring', the use of natural stone throughout, flowing forms of integral color concrete with embedded blue glass, meticulously mimic the flow of water, guiding visitors through a journey reminiscent of a meandering stream while telling the story of the waters’ course through the landscape. The inclusion of rain gardens not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the courtyard but also serves as vital elements for stormwater management, as manmade systems that are invisible to the user, reducing runoff and promoting groundwater recharge.

Brittany Bay Park - Miami Beach, FL
Provided master planning and landscape architectural construction documents for the integration of a waterside promenade and “living shoreline” into the City of Miami Beach’s Brittany Bay Park. To address sea level rise and a failing seawall, a “living shoreline” environment was created between the existing seawall and the new higher seawall. Inlets at the north and south ends of the basin allow tidal seawater from Biscayne Bay to flush the basin daily. A pedestrian promenade parallels the new seawall to provide access to the basin environment and the adjacent waterway. The design also includes three overlooks that extend across the living shoreline and to the water’s edge.
